For the Algosus project, the assignment was to design a website about sustainable applications of seaweed. The theme was inspired by designer Nienke Hoogvliet's seaweed carpet and immediately captivated me because of its versatile applications, such as textile paint, biofuel, and furniture.
I researched the various applications of seaweed and translated this into a visual concept. The focus was on color theory, composition, and clear design. Using two menus, I applied the "one action per screen" theory to create a simple and clear user experience.
The project resulted in a website with a sharp visual style and a user-friendly design that presented the versatility of seaweed clearly and attractively.
