The Purmerend Museum sought a way to add additional information to the wedding hall without physically disturbing the historical context.
Research was conducted into the target group and existing solutions. Several concepts and prototypes were then tested. This took a considerable amount of time, and the initial ideas didn't yet connect well with the target group.
Visitors scan a poster and open the Portrait in Perspective web app. With the camera, they scan a reproduction portrait, after which the original painting appears via AR. This allows them to experience what the wedding hall once looked like, complete with all its masterpieces.
